The Maison&Objet show opens its doors this week at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center.
This professional show is dedicated to home decoration and furnishing.
All creators and designers on the planet are invited to exhibit their latest innovations.
There you will find decorative objects, furniture, accessories, textiles and many other designer products.
Over the years, it has become a major event in the interior architecture and design sector, held twice a year, in September and January.

Maison&Objet, a major exhibition

Created in 1995, the first edition of the Maison&Objet trade show merged the professional trade shows Paas, Moving, Tex’styles, Mic, Scènes d’Interior and Parallèles.
It then brings together 1,250 exhibitors and 38,000 visitors.
Today, the show covers an area of ​​130,000 m² spread over the 9 halls of the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center.
There are more than 50,000 visitors per edition, including nearly 900 journalists, bloggers and influencers who benefit from the creative arrangements offered by the 3,000 exhibitors present.
An international show if ever there was one since 60% of the exhibitors are international brands, more than 50 countries are represented and 20,000 visitors are international.
A place for meetings, business and trends, Maison & Objet Paris is the largest trade fair in Europe.

Maison&Objet, a universe dedicated to design

The show is organized by the company SAFI (subsidiary of Ateliers d’Art de France and RX France) – Maison&Objet.
In addition to the bi-annual Maison&Objet fair in Paris-Nord Villepinte, it also organizes the Paris Design Week festival.
In 2016, it developed the digital platform MOM (Maison&Objet and More), a complementary tool to the show, aimed at professionals in the sector which will also become a marketplace in 2023.
In 2021, it also launched a streaming platform available by subscription, La Maison&Objet Academy.
It offers exclusive content reserved for decoration, design and lifestyle professionals.
It also supports creation through two labels: the “Designer of the Year” prize awarded twice a year at trade fairs and the “Rising Talent Awards”.
The latter highlights a new generation of designers from a specific country each year.

Maison&Objet, September 2023

This edition will highlight the “Enjoy” theme, to combine design and pleasure through sensory and creative immersion.
The pleasure of discovering other colors, other materials, other universes coming from the fertile imagination of the designers present.
Among the highlights, the Belgian couple Muller Van Severen (Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen), a major signature in international design and furniture, will be awarded the prestigious “Designer(s) of the Year” prize.
On this occasion, their unique “Cocoon Exhibition” will reveal more than a decade of creations but will also be an opportunity to present brand new productions, including those developed for HAY.

The Rising Talent Awards, for their part, will highlight a new generation of designers from the French scene:

Athime de Crécy (ADC studio) – jointly nominated by Philippe Starck and Alexis Georgacopoulos;
Hugo Drubay – nominated by Isabelle Dubern;
Tim Leclabart – nominated par Hervé Lemoine ;
Passage, (Arthur Fosse & Samuel Perhirin) – a young brand named by Constance Rubini;
SCMP DESIGN OFFICE (Sébastien Cluzel & Morgane Pluchon) – nominated by Lauriane Duriez;
Nicolas Verschaeve – appointed by Emmanuel Tibloux.

Once again this year, Ateliers d’Art de France, the professional crafts union, salutes the work of a young craftsman.
This is to ensure that the selection of the Rising Talent Awards has a balance in the representation of practices and mediums.
Thus the ceramist Jeanne Andrieu will be named Rising Talent Craft for this 2023 edition.

This September 2023 edition of the Maison&Objet show promises to be a celebration of design where audacity, innovation, passion …. and joy meet.
