Ethic4Future and the rental of eco-responsible furniture

As part of our furniture rental business, we seek to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible.
As such, we pay particular attention to the sourcing of our rental furniture.
We therefore select our suppliers and our furniture with care.

As a result, to date, half of our rental furniture has at least one eco-responsible characteristic.

So that you can identify this furniture on our site, we “labeled” it with our Ethic4future label.
We have also specified the environmental standard or the characteristic concerned on each product sheet.

Wood

For our eco-responsible wooden furniture, you will find models whose wood is certified to the FSC standard or the PEFC standard.

The FSC standard: The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an environmental label.
This aims to ensure that the production of wood or a wood-based product complies with procedures guaranteeing sustainable forest management.

The PEFC standard: Forest certification attests to respect for the environmental, societal and economic functions of the forest.
PEFC certification is based on two complementary mechanisms.
On the one hand, forest certification and on the other hand the certification of companies that process wood.
This ensures the traceability of the wood from the forest to the finished product.

Plastics

For our eco-responsible plastic furniture, you will find plastic materials that are wholly or partly recyclable:
Polypropylene and recyclable polyethylene.
Polycarbonate 2.0, an innovative material designed by Kartell.
And other recyclable plastics …

The other materials

In addition to wood and plastics, other virtuous materials or manufacturing processes are also used.
For example, we find chairs whose seat and back are in recycled leather.
Some products are made with glue and solvent-free varnish …. The list is long.

The future…

The choices made over the years with regard to the supply of furniture are now beginning to bear fruit.
As part of our Ethic4Future continuous improvement approach, we will continue and step up our action.
